Salvation Army QLD Flood Appeal
At the beginning of December 2010 devastation and destruction hit the state of Queensland. With three-quarters of the state being declared a disaster zone, towns, homes and lives were torn apart.
Our Lake Somerset Holiday Park was also threatened by Mother Nature’s fury, with the park being evacuated and water rising up the cabin steps. Thankfully minimum damage was done and everyone was safe.
ATPM staff, park managers and their teams expressed an urgent need to raise money and support the victims of the Queensland floods. A fundraising initiative was spread across our parks on Australia Day with everyone getting into the spirit of helping out their mates in Queensland. A total of $3668.75 was raised across the group.
A big congratulations goes out to the Central Coast Holiday Parks who as a group raised a staggering $2629.55!
Jindabyne Holiday Park managers David and Emma Calcutt showed their generosity by donating $100 out of their own pocket.
Thank you to all the managers and their teams for helping out a great cause, and to each person who donated thank you for your generosity - the people of Queensland will be truly thankful.

Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009
Raised money to help the Victorian Government support individuals and communities in the wake of one of
Australia’s worst natural disasters ever.
At first knowledge of the unexpected and tragic Victorian Bushfires, a large number of ATPM’s park managers and staff expressed an urgent need to raise money to support the victims of the fires. It was decided that all other ideas would be put on hold and a fundraising campaign would be spread across the entire ATPM group to support the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal. Money was raised via a number of different means including raffles, collection tins and morning teas. A total of $2687.60 was raised across the group. ATPM then matched this amount with the final donation to Red Cross being a whopping $5375.20.
• Accommodation vouchers for Victor Harbor Beachfront Holiday Park were also donated to a similar appeal organised by Top Tourist Parks. These were raffled off and contributed to the $29,000 that they raised.
• Other parks also joined in with separate community events and did what they could to raise more funds outside of the ATPM banner. An example of this are the staff at Corindi Beach Holiday Park who were involved in the organisation of a community Trivia Night, raising just over $1500 towards the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
